If your production uses hit songs by top selling artists or obscure music by independent artists, the clearance requirements remain the same. The correct and concise execution of all licenses needed for a given project is essential to its’ success.
If music in a production is not properly cleared, the production is potentially liable for damages to the composer/songwriter, publisher, and record label. Improperly cleared music could cost the production a fortune in legal fees and re-edits as well as damages awarded by the courts.
